MIRRORS 2 IS OUT TO BUY FROM JANUARY 24TH FROM ALL GOOD RETAILERS

TOP TEN SUPERNATURAL HORROR

10.  STIGMATA

Picture
Back in 1999 two films came out that involved the end of the world and the devil You had the Arnie led END OF DAYS and the Johnathan Price/ Patricia Arquette masterpiece that was STIGAMTA. END OF DAYS really did suck major arse but i have always thought that STIGMATA held itself very well. It's a one to watch and a film which is very underrated in my oppinion.

9. JU-ON

Picture

JU-ON is the amasing orginal version of THE GRUDGE which has made into a pretty crap remake starring Sarah Michelle Geller.

JU-ON is one of those ghostly tales that made Asian cinema what it is, and was the first film that made me truely respect foreign Cinema.

8. 1408

Picture
The first of two Stephen King adaptations to reach our top ten.
1408 is brilliant example of a brilliant haunted hotel film with some scenes that are very messed up. It's a head screw in a single room. Brilliant!!

7. WHITE NOISE

Picture
White noise was one of the only films starring Michael Keaton that I actually enjoyed.
This film isn't liked by everyone but is a great example of the ghost hunting technique of EVP and the voices you can capture within the empty static of the white noise.
It was an interesting film at the time and one that i can guarantee left people wanting to try it out.

6. THE AMITYVILLE HORROR

Picture
Based on what some people believe was a true story, Amityville still has people asking was the true story behind the world’s most famous haunted house fact or fiction.
The original will always be cemented in history of one of the greatest horror films of all time.

5. POLTERGEIST

Picture
"THEY'RE HEEEEEEERE" is one of horror cinemas most famous quotes (even being spoofed in a family guy episode). POLTERGEIST, directed by horror legend Tobe Hooper, is one of the director’s best films alongside the obvious Texas Chainsaw Massacre and is one of the most popular ghost films in the history of horror. Why is this not at number one you ask? Well I’m not as big of a fan of this film as I am the other films to come.

4. A TALE OF TWO SISTERS

Picture
One of the best Korean horror films I have ever seen! A TALE OF TWO SISTERS still blows me away.
A ghost story full of twists and turns inside the mind of a very disturbed young girl and her sister.
A TALE OF TWO SISTERS was remade (unfortunately) as THE UNINVITED.

3. THE SHINING

Picture
When you think ghosts and hotels you automatically think THE SHINING. One of the most famous Stephen King film adaptations ever made, THE SHINING will possibly always hold its place at the top of the list of greatest horror films ever made. Who can ever forget the naked corpse in the bathroom??

2. THE LAST EXORCISM

Picture
I may be judged for this but i can honestly say THE LAST EXORCISM was the best horror film of 2010. It is very rare to find an exorcism film that keeps you on the edge of your seat as this film did.
If you like possession films or if you are a fan of handheld camera style films such as REC, then this is perfect for you!

1. PARANORMAL ACTIVITY

Picture
This film scared the CRAP out of me when I watched this at home. PARANORMAL ACTIVITY is one of the most perfectly film and executed horror films in modern cinema. The handheld camera style makes it more heart pounding, and in my opinion belongs at the number one spot.
